How to Find an SAT Test Prep Course
Sunday, February 8th, 2009If you are planning to take the SAT Reasoning Test in the coming months, you may want to start studying and preparing. When in this situation, many students turn to an SAT prep course. These courses are available all across the country and even online, but how do you find one?
Contact your local school district. Many schools have SAT study classes for high school juniors and seniors. These classes are usually teacher taught and offered right onsite. What is nice about taking courses offered by your school is that you do not have to travel far. Most classes are held before and after school or on select weekends. Although there are no guarantees, most school districts offer these refresher classes free to students.
Contact other nearby school districts. As previously stated, some school districts offer free or discounted SAT prep courses for their students. Unfortunately, not all do. If your school is small, you may have less than 100 students taking the SAT. Only a small percentage of those students opt for a prep course, meaning some schools see it as a waste of time. If your school district falls into this category, contact other nearby school districts, especially those large in size. You may be required to pay a small fee, as you not a district student.
